Thursday is the first in what will surely become a long line of Yard Parties at The Yard (21 NW 7th St., OKC) benefiting the Children’s Hospital Foundation. The event is 5:30-8:30 p.m., tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
The 21-and-older event includes samples of a variety of beers from Oklahoma's best breweries, yard games and music.
Summer Inspired Cocktail Dinner
Cafe 501 hosts another of it’s come-and-go cocktail dinners from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Classen Curve location, 5825 NW Grand Blvd., OKC.

Newton Vineyard Four Course Dinner
Join the experienced chefs at Kwan’s Kitchen, 3031 W. Memorial Road, for the four-course Newton Vineyard wine dinner, 7-10 p.m. Thursday.
Courses include a forager’s salad, crispy roasted salmon with bacon-wrapped scallops, sous vide lamb chops and duck confit over risotto, all paired with Newton Vineyard wines.
Tickets are $45 without wine or $90 with wine and are available online.
The Maine Event
The annual Maine Event, benefiting Rainbow Fleet Child Care Resource and Referral, returns 7-10 p.m. Friday at Dunlap Codding (609 W. Sheridan Ave.).
Enjoy a fresh Maine lobster boil, wild Maine blueberry cobbler, along with wine, Maine's Shipyard Beer and a signature cocktail made with Cold River Blueberry Vodka. Dress is Snappy Casual!
