If you say, “There’s nothing to do here,” then you’re just not looking.

You can always stay up to date with the events page here, but here are a few selected highlights for the upcoming week.

Ugly Sweater Party at The Patriarch with Stonecloud Brewing Co.

Join the beer-loving crew at The Patriarch Craft Beer House & Lawn starting at 5:30 p.m. for the Ugly Holiday Sweater Party and try some of Stonecloud Brewing Co.’s new beers. They’ll have Neon Sunshine Belgian Wit, Astrodog IPA, Turtlehead Imperial Coffee Stout and two seasonal specialty releases.

The Ugly Sweater contest will be judged at 8 p.m. with prizes including a $25 Stonecloud gift card, a Stonecloud winter hat and a private tour of the brewery. You must be present to win.

Whiskey Row Dinner at MMR Prime Steakhouse

Chef Jonas Favela at MMR Prime Steakhouse will cook a five-course dinner featuring five whiskeys from Old Forester, Jack Daniel’s and Woodford. The meal runs 6:30-9:30 p.m. and tickets are $75 each.

Reservations are required. Call (405) 608-8866.

Food Truck Friday featuring Smoke N Oak Pizza

You *can* shop for a new car at Hudiburg Chevrolet Buick GMC’s Food Truck Friday, but anyone can stop by to grab some of Smoke N Oak’s wood-fired pizzas from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Twisted Spike Double Release at The Patriarch

Another Patriarch event? That’s because they’re pulling two new releases from Twisted Spike Brewing Co. starting at 5 p.m.: Rose Rock Red and Monk's Crossing Dubbel. Coming early has benefits as early guests will receive glassware.

Bohemian Brunch at Fuel 66

Tulsa eaters rejoice! Fuel 66 is hosting Bohemia Moveable Feast’s Jezebel food truck. Grab it to go or enjoy it on the heated, covered patio. Filipino breakfast? Might be time for a trip to Tulsa!

Brunch is 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Gifts From the Kitchen at Oklahoma County-OSU Cooperative Extension Service

Sign up NOW to take part in the Gifts from the Kitchen class at Oklahoma County OSU Cooperative Extension Service, 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday.

The hands-on workshop will teach you to make unique and money-saving gifts at home. It’s $25 to attend and all participants will get to make-and-take three homemade presents.

Wine Down Wednesday at O Bar

It’s already been a long week, which is why we always look forward to O Bar’s Wine Down Wednesdays, 5-10 p.m.

Each Wednesday in December they feature a different wine for $5 per glass or $25 per bottle. (Can’t make it Wednesday? By quirk of Oklahoma law, O Bar offers the deal until next Wednesday or the wine is sold out.)
